The Twenty Tenors

The Twenty Tenors were born in a chance conversation between GIBS Professor Jonathan Cook and Richard Cock – the link to 2010 seemed obvious, and after the 3 Tenors and the 10 Tenors what could be more spectacular than 20 Tenors, especially since 2010 was, and is just around the corner.

Richard Cock and vocal coach Nicholas Nicholaidis visited several centres auditioning tenors and put together a team representative of almost all provinces in South Africa.

With choreographer and Strictly Come Dancing host, Ian von Memerty as the director and choreographer and with the backing of the Cape Philharmonic and Johannesburg Festival Orchestras for appearances at Starlight Classics, the 20 Tenors have been an immediate hit, with crowds of up to 5000 screaming for more.

Their youthful exuberance, stunning good looks and slick performances, the 20 Tenors are set to take the world by storm.
